Chappy's Outfitters
is located on the west bank of Lake Okeechobee in Southern Florida.
Chappy's, cater to the turkey hunters that are in pursuit of a True
Osceola Wild Turkey. Pricing is set to offer the hunter/vacationer a
chance to take home an Osceola without paying a 3-day set price. You now
have a way to take your family on a vacation and still get away for a
1,2,or 3 days of hunting, only paying for the days you have hunted and
still complete the vacation you promised your family and save a little
pocket money. Price is $1,350.00 for the first day and $150.00 for any extra
days after.
Hunting areas are
75% wooded with oak hammocks, cabbage palms with pines, Cypress stands and
25% pasture private dry lands. Birds are not over pressured due to Limited
hunting. We have high success throughout the season with lots of birds. A
hunt starts at 4:30 a.m., a break around noon is possible, and then back
out to hunt until dark. Most mornings start off cool (46*) and warm up to
(85*+) having layered clothing is a good idea.
We offer
Guided (1 on 1), Semi-Guided (2 on 1), and Self-Guided hunts.
Guided hunts
include transportation to and from the hunting area, calling/working
birds, photo taking of game, caring for game and filling of NWTF
registration forms for Grand Slams. Packing and transporting by mail is
extra. only top qualified guides are available with Chappy's, providing
the high success rates for their guided hunts. The success rate for the
past few years has been at 95-100%. Success depends greatly on the
shooter.
Self-Guided
hunts are done in a 1500 acre private hunting area. Success rate is 40%.
Prices are $800.00 for a 3-day hunt. Ask for details on this hunt.
All inclusive
3-day hunts are also available. A 2nd bird harvest is a $750 trophy fee on
all hunts.
Licenses can
be purchased as a 10 day permit, Non Res. - $46.00 + Non Res. Turkey -
$100.00 (prices may vary each year)

Spring Turkey Season runs from the first week of March to the second week
of April.
